All Around Me My hands are searching for you My arms are outstretched towards you I feel you on my fingertips My tongue dances behind my lips for you This fire rising through my being Burning I'm not used to seeing you I'm alive, I'm alive I can feel you all around me Thickening the air I'm breathing Holding on to what I'm feeling Savoring this heart that's healing My hands float up above me And you whisper you love me And I begin to to fade Into our secret place The music makes me sway The angels singing say We are alone with you I am alone and they are too with you And so I cry The light is white And I see you I'm alive, I'm alive,i'm alive I can feel you all around me Thickening the air I'm breathing Holding on to what I'm feeling Savoring this heart that's healing Take my hand I give it you Now you own me, All I am You said you would never leave me I believe you, I believe I can feel you all around me Thickening the air I'm breathing Holding on to what I'm feeling Savoring this heart that's healed |

| Flyleaf Album: Flyleaf When listening to secular rock bands you often get the feeling that they don’t want to fix their heartaches or heal old wounds, they just scream about their problems and after a few hours of hearing their lyrics, you yourself feel hopeless and ready to give up. If you like hardcore girl rock bands and love to hear a good scream, but want to give up the depressing aftermath they leave behind, you should defiantly turn your ear to a band called Flyleaf. Lead singer Lacey Mosley knows how to rock the big stage and her small frame can let out a good scream, but her lyrics are all about healing and moving on from past hurt. “The warmth of your embrace melts my frostbitten spirit. You speak the truth and I hear it. The words are I love you and I have to believe in you” Those are the lyrics from Flyleaf’s song Red Sam. The song talks about feeling lost and hopeless, but if you turn towards God how He can even heal the deepest scars. In the song All Around Me, the lyrics echo the same message of putting trust in God and relying oh His comfort even though He can't be seen; “I can feel you all around me, thickening the air I'm breathing, holding on to what I'm feeling, savoring this heart that's healed” Flyleaf’s music can be compared to secular bands such as Evanescence and Within Temptation. With their awesome rock sound and positive message, Flyleaf is a band I definitely would suggest putting in your CD player. MySpace Flyleaf Official Band Site |
